So I went to a class. It was awesome and a new thing for me, using my whole body instead of sitting on the bike or running. I started going to all the classes the gym offered eating them up like ice cream bars on a warm day. The more I went the more I loved it, and the more I loved it the more interesting the sport became.
Now I'll explain to you the class layout so that you can understand the sport better. "Fitness Kickboxing" or "Cardio Kickboxing" takes place in a big room with mirrors on the front and sides. Participants wear workout leggings and a sweat absorbent shirt; our class looks very much like something you'd see on an infomercial, synchronized movements and typical advertized outfits. There is no equipment just our body and the force of our own muscles. We do a lot of jumping, kicking, punching etc. but not at each other or at any martial arts bag. Just to the air in front of us, or our imaginary demons/ attackers. To make something perfectly clear, I am in no way a violent person, so I could not do a proper head lock or knock you out just because I can do this class.
